Did you pre-book the bus tour online or found the tour when arrived at the port? Thanks in advance.
We didn’t prebook. However, luck was on our side as it pretty much sold out the minute right after we paid. So it is a risk to not pre-book.

If this is a once-in-a-lifetime New Zealand cruise and the tour interests you, I definitely recommend pre-booking. But if you're an Aussie and likely to cruise NZ again in the future, it might be okay to take the risk.

@D4RKSH4DOWYT, If I’m not wrong they hire actors from NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Arts). So I think she says those things in character, rather than intentionally being rude. Her acting is just too good. 😄

Yes it is a good experience. But as I expected, it is really not like the squid game (obv I'm not saying becoz loses don't get killed), just the surrounding and the games. Tho it is better than the chocolate factory experience in the UK.

Yes it did. It goes the opposite way starting from Milford Sound. In the Royal Princess video, the sounds cruising starts at around the 2 mins 24 sec mark.

We did a 14 day one on the Diamond Princess from Melbourne to NZ in October 2024. Were very disappointed coz the captain cancelled the Fiordland National Park cruise due to bad weather 😭but it gives us an excuse for visiting NewZealand again. On a different cruise ship of course, most probably this one.
Oh man, that is tough. I guess it’s better to be safe. Better next time than never.
